Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators improve facial balance by temporarily minimizing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, or those caused by facial movement. At Dogwood Face & Body, we offer three formulations of neuromodulators: Botox, Xeomin, and Daxxify (a neurotoxin capable of doubling your normal duration, results can vary per person).
These cosmetic injectables utilize a refined version of botulinum toxin type A. When injected into specific facial muscles, such as the eyebrows, forehead, or around the eyes or lips, Botox temporarily blocks facial movement. This limits the following wrinkles from forming:
- Forehead lines
- 11’s, or vertical frown lines between the eyebrows
- Crow’s feet (form around the eyes from squinting)
- Bunny lines caused by scrunching your nose
- Marionette lines (vertical lines from the corner of the mouth to the chin)
- Nasolabial folds or smile lines (run from the side of your nose to the corners of your mouth)
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers, made from hyaluronic acid (HA), restore volume to targeted areas of the face to minimize fine lines and wrinkles.
This gel-like injectable utilizes hyaluronic acid—a substance naturally produced by the body—to boost hydration and flexibility. Dermal fillers address sunken areas of the face, such as the cheeks or chin, restore lost volume to lips, and minimize the appearance of static wrinkles caused by skin laxity and aging, creating a more youthful appearance.
PDO Threads
Polydioxanone (PDO) threads strategically lift sagging skin on and around the cheeks, temples, and jowls. This treatment creates a firmer, more supple facial appearance recently popularized by the “fox eye” aesthetic.
Our experts insert these dissolvable sutures, which can be smooth, barbed, or twisted, underneath the skin using a cannula, or a hollow needle. Once the thread is placed, we remove the cannula and secure the PDO threads.
As they dissolve, PDO threads trigger the body’s natural healing process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. These two proteins build around the dissolving sutures, providing the skin with strength, structure, and elasticity, rejuvenating the skin from the inside out.
